Colin reached the semi finals of Saturdays
(08/11/08) pro event in Leiden, Holland.
On route to the semi final he defeated Mick McGowan, Ronnie Baxter &
Denis Ovens.
Sundays competition, saw Jaws reach the last 32.
Saturday - 08/11/08
Last 64: Colin Lloyd 3-0 Jonathan Overton
Last 32: Colin Lloyd 3-0 Mick McGowan (2-1, 2-0, 2-1)
Colin opened the match with an 11 dart leg & had an average of 93.47 in defeating Mick McGowan 3-0.
Last 16: Colin Lloyd 3-0 Ronnie Baxter (2-1, 2-0, 2-1)
Jaws put an outstanding performance in to defeat Ronnie Baxter. With the score at 1-1 in the opening set, Colin won five of the next six legs to claim victory. Colin's winning legs being: 14,13,14,12, & 15!Last 8: Colin Lloyd 3-1 Denis Ovens (1-2, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0)
Colin came from a set down to win 3-1, reeling off six straight legs for an average of 95.07. Jaws finished the final set with legs of 12 & 15, checking out on 136 & 111 respectively.Semi-Final: Colin Lloyd 1-3 Mervyn King (0-2, 1-2, 2-0, 0-2)Colin lost out to the eventual winner in the last 4. Colin was unfortuante to miss double 7 for a 134 finish to win the second set, but continued to score highly & claimed the third with legs of 12 (141 checkout) & 16. However, it was to be Mervyn King who went on to win the match in the next set.
